Chippewa Flowage Fishing Report

06/06/2016

Chippewa Flowage fishing has been up and down. Musky action has been consistently good overall. Walleye fishing has been up and down. The weather has been wild to say the least. Constant fronts, cool temps and a ton of rain have made the walleyes a little tough. One day we will crush them and the next day it will be slow. The larger fish that we are targeting are in shallow cover, whether it be weeds or brush. We are throwing a combination of swimbaits and crankbaits in depths of 12 feet of water and less. We shot an awesome swimbait walleye video showcasing this technique. Its deadly on big fish! We have been catching our musky on a combination of smaller bucktails and topwaters. We have been fishing the bucktails pretty fast and covering a ton of water. We have had better luck fishing main lake weeds as opposed to weedy bays. Put the boat just off the weed edge and go to work. I would expect fishing for everything to get better as the weather warms and stabilizes. I have a few great dates available in the near future! Saturday June 11th is open. June 17th 1pm-9pm. June 22nd 1pm- 9pm. Text or call 7154108696 to get in on the action! Thanks!
