Chippewa Flowage Fishing Report

4/13/2017 04/13/2017

First day on the Chip yesterday. Water was cold and low. Main lake was 42 to 44. Warmer bays were 46 47 degrees. Lake is about 3 feet low. Will make for a interesting spawning season for all fish if the lake does not come up.
Fishing was good. Caught a bunch of crappies. Some were 20 feet down over channels. Others were staging at the mouths of bays. I even say a bunch of males in a couple of feet of water in the back ends of bays.
Saw 5 nice muskies cruising up shallow. Cool to see!
Ill be on the water almost everyday from here on out. I have a bunch of April crappie fishing availability. I am offering a special April rate on a 1/2 day trip. 200$
Jump out in the boat and get in on the best crappie fishing of the season!
