Chippewa Flowage Fishing Report

New Page 04/18/2017

Fishing has been great the past couple days. Lots of crappies and gills have sucked into some of the larger shallow bays on both the east and west side. Water temperatures have warmed and settled at 49 to 51 in some of these bays. Cool nights and rain this week will bring the water up and prolong a good early season bite. This weekend and next week will bring some great fishing!

We have been fishing 4 to 8 feet of water around old cabbage growth and stumps. Many of the trees are out of the water as of right now and this old cabbage holds a lot of heat. We are seeing good numbers of mostly male fish in the bays. That will change to more and more females this weekend.

I have availability both this weekend and next week for discounted crappie and gill trips. Call or Text 7154108696 to get in the boat! This is a great time of year on the Chip and a great bite for the whole family.

I have launched at a few different launches and havent had any problem with a 18 foot boat.
